Wine Cork Vase Filler

I don't drink alcohol, but have always loved wine cork crafts and decor. The cork gives off this rustic vineyard feel and I dig that! I scooped up this bag full of wine cork and started plotting my uses for it. I paid $2.49, but retails $20 and up in other stores and online. In words of that one guy, "Winning!"

Check out how I used the bag full of wine corks.

Dean & Deluca in the Thrift Store

If you have ever been to Dean & Deluca or even heard about this overpriced foodie paradise (cue in The Devil Wears Prada quote, "I went to Dean & Deluca. Man, they charge, like, five dollars a strawberry there.")  then you can probably imagine my utter shock when I found this Dean & Deluca Medium Natural Cotton Jute New York Tote for $1.99! The regular price for this chic reusable grocery/picnic/everyday tote is $16 plus tax! I'm sorry, but it's tough for me to spend more than $10 on a reusable grocery bag. I once bought a $15 reusable shopping bag in New York City (it was an Asian inspired bag with animation cupcakes on it--hey, I had a cupcake obsession way back when), but it was probably the one and only time. Haha.

I went shopping for some fruits and veggies (get 'em in, folks) today and sported my new bag--it looks fabulous! Check out my photos below.

Paper Bag Vase

I love flowers and because of that (and other sweet reasons) my husband brings me fresh flowers every Monday. I've run out of vases because sometimes the flowers from the previous week are still thriving. It's awesome; I have my own indoor garden at times! The other day I found this little gem in the vase section and at first thought, "wow, this is unique!" It's a porcelain paper bag vase and makes it look like you literally just bought fresh flowers from the cute flower stand in Paris or New York. Best part (beside it being super cute)? It cost me $4.49 ($5.99 - 25%)! Take a look for yourself.

I'm Happy Every Hour

Found this cute wooden sign at my favorite thrift store and couldn't resist. The final price was $2.24 ($2.99 - 25%)! Even though I'm not realistically happy every hour, I definitely strive to be because God is good! :)

Keep your eyes peeled for inspirational art next time you go into your local thrift store.

Kate Spade; Who?

The other day I went to Macy's to search for a pair of shoes I had been eyeing for my upcoming graduation and while I was passing the watch counter I caught a glimpse of this gorgeous casual Kate Spade watch...

...and then I saw the price--$125 for that rubber watch. Granted it's a cute rubber watch, but one hundred twenty-five dollars? No, thanks.

I ended up perusing the mall because Macy's did not have my size in the fierce non-thrifty shoes I've been dreaming about. New York and Co. was right outside of Macy's and the enormous "50%  off everything in store" sign drew me in like a shopper on Black Friday (aka I had those crazy eyes) and I am ever so glad I did.

Not only did I find my graduation dress (will show at a later date) for an incredible price, but I found the same exact rubber polka dot watch I fell in love with from Macy's! The best part? It was 90% off of the $125 price tag at $12.50 (50% off the $24.95). Yeah, I know it doesn't have the spade symbol or Kate's name on it, but hey, that is a-ok because other than the brand it's an exact replica.

Check out my $12.50 watch that looks like $125 bucks and tell me what you think.
